Renewing your CCDW license

To renew your CCDW, there is a total fee of $60 required.

Within 120 days of your renewal date, the Department of State Police will email you a written notice of your expiration date, along with a renewal form.

If you want to renew your CCDW license, you must take your renewal notice along with a color photograph to the Sheriff of your county of residence.

If your license has expired

If you do not renew your license before the expiration date and you wish to renew your license, there will be an additional late fee of $15.00. To pay the renewal fee, submit your payment of $20 to the Sheriff with a check or money order and pay $40 payable to the Kentucky State Treasurer with another check or money order.
