What the class covers

The Michigan CPL class is one day: pistol safety and handling, Michigan law for carrying concealed, and live fire at the range. It meets the state training requirement, first-timers are welcome, and loaner firearms are typically available. Adrian dates are taught by Steel and Stilettos, a woman-led training company, and everyone is welcome.

How to apply in Lenawee County

1. Take the class and get your training certificate the same day.
2. Submit your CPL application at the Lenawee County Clerk’s office in Adrian. The application fee is $100.
3. Get fingerprinted within 45 days (a separate fingerprint fee, typically $15).
4. The county has 45 days to issue once your fingerprints are in, and the license comes by mail.
